HIX S-650 Semi Automatic Clamshell Heat Press

The HIX S Series semi-automatic clamshell heat presses are built off the time-tested HT models, the S series adds a mechanical auto-open feature without the need for an air compressor that reduces operator fatigue by eliminating half of the manual effort. The auto-open feature reduces the chance of scorched t-shirts and is helpful with longer transfer times such as sublimation designs on textile and non-textile substrates that take up to several minutes to complete.

At the heart of these presses is the heat casting that is manufactured in-house using an exclusive aluminum alloy to maximize the heat transfer. The floating lower platen helps to provide even pressure from edge to edge at all temperatures and even works on thicker substrates. The easy to open and close handle is equipped with a spring assist, a full range pressure adjustment, and adds 20% more pressure compared to straight handle designs.

Clamshell

Top Pressure Plates – The handle attaches to a 4″x 5″ pressure plate on the top platen instead of a single screw going into the top platen. This provides more even pressure on the outside edges of the press (think of it as pushing down with your entire hand, versus just your thumb).

Display

Easy to use, integrated digital time and temperature settings – Color LCD touchscreen controller allows simple dialing in of time and temperature. The current pressure is displayed on the touchscreen display each time the press closes. Now with user presets available to save the settings of your most common products.

Design

The S-650 features all metal construction with a 16″x 20″ heat platen. The large clamshell opening allows for easy shirt loading.

The S-650 utilizes an electronically activated mechanical latch release mechanism with a gas shock assist to help enhance and support your operations. This helps reduce fatigue.
